Falassarna Beach is located in the western part of Cape Gramvousa, near the ruins of the ancient Greco-Roman city of the same name. Falassarna bay is one of the most famous in Greece, having been awarded as one of the 10 best beaches in Europe in the past.

Itinerary

After we pick you up from select locations around Chania, we will drive along the coast of West Crete, passing by charming villages like Agia Marina, Gerani and Kolymvari and soak in the landscape of the Chania Gulf as we make our way to Falassarna. The beach is located in the western part of Cape Gramvousa on the edge of where the ancient Greco-Roman city of the same name used to lie. The ruins of the city still lie there to this day, though nowadays Falassarna is better known for its idyllic setting and has earned a reputation of one of the most beautiful swimming spots in all of Crete!

Falassarna bay spans a very large area and consists of five consecutive beaches, with the two central ones being the most popular among visitors. The main beach is called Pacheia Ammos, after its thick sand and extends for 1km (0.6 miles) facing the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Whether you wish to take in the scenery by strolling down the coast or simply unwind in a bar with a cocktail in your hand make sure to take note as the sun slowly dips in the Aegean Sea and the sky fills with a golden hue!

After sunset you will hop on your transport and be dropped off in designated spots around Chania.
