Discover the different aspects of Peloponnese with a 1-day tour of Mycenae and Nafplion.
Spend a day in Peloponnese, exploring both its rich history and its charming allure with a day tour designed to offer the best of both worlds! Starting from Athens, we will cross the famous Corinth Canal to enter Peloponnese and drive through its majestic scenery to reach Mycenae. Housing the remains of a once great civilization, the Archaeological Site features monuments like the Lion Gate and Treasury of Atreus among many others and as a result has been included in UNESCO's World Heritage List. After we've had our fill of antiquity, we will drive on to Nafplion, one of the most beautiful towns in all of Greece! Stroll down picturesque alleys, explore quaint squares and walk along Nafplio's famous waterfront where you will experience the amalgamation of the Hellenic and Venetian worlds melding into a truly unique place!

We will depart in the morning from Athens and cross over to Peloponnese by the Corinth Canal. The 'Suez of Greece' is a testament to engineering and well worth a photograph or two. We will continue driving through stunning Peloponnesian scenery to reach Mycenae, one of the major centers of ancient Greek civilization during the second millennium BCE. The Bronze Age citadel of the Archaeological Site contains the Tomb of Atreus, the iconic Lion Gate, of Tomb of Clytemnestra and the Cyclopean Walls. Once our guided tour to the site ends, we will stop for a traditional lunch.
The second part of tour aims to show you a more modern side of Greece with a visit to Naflpion, the country's first modern capital and arguably one of its most charming towns. Heavily influenced by Venetians, Nafplion is surrounded by fortresses like Palamidi, Akronafplia and of course Bourtzi - on a small islet just off the town's coast. A refuge for artists, Nafplion is full of galleries, sprouting on picturesque cul-de-sacs or cobble-stoned alleys. We will take a short walking tour but you will also have time to explore the town at your own pace. make sure to sample some gelato and make your way to Syntagma Square (not to be confused with the homonymous Athenian counterpart), located near the port. In the afternoon, we will hop back on our transport and take the same route back to Athens.

- This tour includes a complimentary pick-up / drop-off service from your hotel or other predefined spots in Athens and surrounding areas. Maximum duration of this service to gather tour participants is approximately 1 hour. Thus, pick-up time may vary for each guest and will be provided during the booking process.
- Clients staying at the coast will depart for their hotels, from G.O. terminal around 19:30 hrs.
